Liberty Tree BBQ & Music Festival returning to downtown

Submitted by the Downtown Dalton Development Authority

— The Downtown Dalton Development Authority will host the Liberty Tree BBQ & Music Festival Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27-28, in Dalton Green Park.

The weekend will offer a lineup of internationally touring bands, barbecue from numerous local and regional cookers, activities and inflatables for children, and a beer garden for those 21 and up. Downtown restaurants will also be selling food during the festival to provide more variety for those seeking something other than barbecue.

Musical performances begin Saturday at noon featuring Tillers Folly, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Brian Ashley Jones, New Binkley Brothers and Chatham County Line at 6:30 p.m. Music will begin at noon on Sunday and will feature Nu-Blu, Frances Mooney & Fontanna Sunset, and Spatial Effects. The festival will be in Dalton Green Park, next to the Whitfield County Courthouse on Selvidge Street. Tickets for the entire weekend are $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
