The Whitfield County Conservative Round Table is hosting a Unity Dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5:30 p.m. at the Western Sizzlin on Cleveland Highway.
Nathan Deal, the Republican nominee for governor, has confirmed he will attend, and many other former and current candidates have also been invited. The room will hold 200, and each person will pay for his or her meal.

Two homicides in Dawnville early Thursday morning were a “crime of passion” and the suspect who is still on the loose is “dangerous,” Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood said at a press conference Friday afternoon.
