One killed in plane crash near Dalton airport

Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood says one man is confirmed dead following at twin-engine plane crash near the Dalton Municipal Airport.

Chitwood said the plane matched one that took off from the airport shortly before the crash around 5 p.m. Chitwood said the man had not been positively identified but is believed to be from the Chattanooga area.
