• Melvin Dewayne Daniel, 48, 3953 Standing Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with three counts of failure to appear, sale of methamphetamine and bondsman off bond.
• Tremaine Mykel Higginbothem, 20, 110 Richardson Road, Calhoun, was charged Thursday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of a schedule 1 narcotic.
• Leslie Ann Ollis, 24, 553 Leisure Way, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation (felony).
• Benjamin Patton Renz, 22, 1916 West Brookhaven Circle, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation (felony).
• Allen Lamar Burse, 306 W. Ezzard Ave., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, fleeing, reckless driving, obstruction, driving while license is suspended or revoked, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to maintain lane.
• Jessica Gloria Davis, 17, 102 Riderwood Place, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to obey persons directing traffic, aggravated assault, fleeing, violation of instructional permit, DUI and possession of alcohol by a minor.
• Jaime Felix-Hernandez, 27, 88 A Weaver Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Eton Police Department with DUI, speeding and driving while unlicensed.
• Daniel Nuckolls Lavelle, 19, 210 Campbell Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with running a red light, possession of alcohol by a minor and DUI.
• Joseph Michael Maurer, 53, 6519 NM 31 Terrace, Gainesville, Fla., was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and making an improper U-turn.
• Phillip Wayne Mcatee, 30, 168 Sawanee Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, no insurance and failure to maintain lane.
• Leon Carl Mincey, 53, 166 Bettis Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and possession of a schedule 1 narcotic.
• Douglas Lamar Phillips, 22, 2639 Landfill Road, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of a schedule 4 narcotic, drugs not in original container, carrying a concealed weapon and DUI.
• Alejandro Sosa-Delarosa, 22, 1809 Malone Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, not obtaining a proper license, and failure to maintain lane.
• Mary Louise Waits, 40, 999 P.O. Box 104, Resaca, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI, a tire violation and not changing information on her driver’s license as required within 60 days.
• Roberto Carlo Wingfield, 27, 1008 Chasewood, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and possession of marijuana.
• Juan Manuel Zavala, 24, 302 Pinehill Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine.

VARNELL — A woman who knows fugitive Adolph Ray “Sonny” Neal — wanted in the deaths of his wife and her grandfather a week ago today — said she shouted, “Oh my God, it’s him!” as she and her husband traveled south on Ga. Highway 201 Wednesday afternoon.
