Area arrests for Jan. 1
• Roberto Garcia, 21, 705 Allendale Drive, Dalton was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with failure to maintain lane, duty upon striking unattended vehicle and DUI.
• Sofonias Galeico Martinez, 50, 4414 Bass Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.
• Herbert Antonio Posada Jr., 19, 2718 Pleasant Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.
• Jody Lynn Cartwright, 36, 101 Hothouse View, Mineral Bluff, Ga., was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with obtaining or attempting to obtain drugs by fraud, first-degree forgery and probation violation.
• Robert Lee Deal, 24, 449 New Hope Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting.
• Demmi Nicole Burchfield, 22, 449 New Hope Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting.
• Leslie Xiomara Lopez, 21, 118 Hester Circle, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of tools for commission of crime, possession of schedule 3 drug and sale or intent to sell marijuana.
• Amanda Lou Rogers, 41, 204 Westfort St., Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to maintain lane, operating a vehicle while registration is suspended, revoked or canceled and DUI.
• Holly Celeste Rollins, 31, 947 Goodhope Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with deposit account fraud.
• Brittney Nicole Deal, 19, 2011 Cleveland Highway, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of tools for commission of crime, bondsman off bond, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine.
