• Brandon Wayne Barnes, 29, 972 Leonard Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of endocet oxycodone, possession of methadone, possession of clonazepam and drugs not in original container.
• Eric Wayne Dyer, 32, 1116 Lakemont Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and speeding.
• Heather Nicole Griffith, 31, 3431 Oakland Heights Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with attempt to obtain drugs by fraud or forgery and obtaining controlled substance by fraudulent means.
• Joel Bradford Rampley Jr., 34, 135 Macamy Sumach Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with deposit account fraud/bad checks (three counts).

Photo released of jewelry theft suspect
The Dalton Police Department released a picture of one of the men who allegedly ripped off an area jewelry store of about $7,500 in a “bait and switch” style theft on Saturday. The theft happened at Casa Blanca’s Jewelry. The suspect pictured, who identified himself as Luis Solis and presented an apparently fake Nevada driver’s license, also posed for a picture for the store clerk during the transaction. Dalton’s pawn broker ordinance requires all sellers to be photographed by the store. The two suspects were described as Hispanic males with slightly heavyset/stocky builds. Both wore jeans, with one man wearing a dark blue polo shirt with white stripes and the other wearing a lighter blue or white shirt. One suspect had a ponytail and facial hair.
