Area Arrests
• Calvin Lebron Cuzzort Jr., 51, 1426 Wilson Road, Rossville, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, no insurance and change of address or name required within 60 days.
• Robert Steven Detherage, 28, 876 Callie Jones Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Earnest La Rue Newton, 55, 107 George Brock Road, No. 7, Resaca, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated battery.

When Karen Smith was born her parents brought her home to 410 Chattanooga Ave., just down the street from Crown Garden and Archives, the primary repository of Dalton’s history where much-needed restorative efforts are under way. Her husband, Michael, grew up a little further south, near the intersection with Selvidge Street.
