The city of Dalton Public Works Department will be closed to observe Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday of next week. No garbage or recycling will be picked up on those days.
The Public Works Department will be picking up garbage and recycling before the holiday to ensure all city residents a weekly pickup day. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday garbage and recycling will be picked up on the regularly scheduled days. Thursday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Next Friday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
