• Shawn Chad M. Bruce, 18, 600 Autumn Court, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, sale of marijuana, obstructing an officer and failure to appear on traffic charges.
• Thomas Lane Clelland, 26, 1901 Deer Run, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, hit and run, too fast for conditions, following too closely, failure to maintain lane and tire violation.
• Ralph Henry Cline Jr., 32, 3558 Lake Kathy Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Eton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of hydrocodone, drugs in wrong container, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, furnishing alcohol and contraband across guard lines.
• Angel Herrera Ramirez, 21, 2440 Waring Road, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary and probation violation.
• Rolando Galvez Sanchez, 45, 3271 S. Dixie Highway, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation, failure to appear, DUI, driving while license suspended or revoked and license plate violation.
• Audrey Lee Silvers, 33, 736 Bishop Pond, Lot J, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with DUI, DUI-endangerment of a child, failure to maintain lane and child seat belt violation.

Photo released of jewelry theft suspect
The Dalton Police Department released a picture of one of the men who allegedly ripped off an area jewelry store of about $7,500 in a “bait and switch” style theft on Saturday. The theft happened at Casa Blanca’s Jewelry. The suspect pictured, who identified himself as Luis Solis and presented an apparently fake Nevada driver’s license, also posed for a picture for the store clerk during the transaction. Dalton’s pawn broker ordinance requires all sellers to be photographed by the store. The two suspects were described as Hispanic males with slightly heavyset/stocky builds. Both wore jeans, with one man wearing a dark blue polo shirt with white stripes and the other wearing a lighter blue or white shirt. One suspect had a ponytail and facial hair.
