Members of the Dalton Modern Woodmen of America camp will sponsor a fundraiser on Nov. 20 to benefit families in need in the Cohutta area.
The fundraiser includes a beef stew dinner at 6 p.m. for $5 per person and a free movie at 7 p.m. at Cohutta Elementary School. Up to $2,500 of the money raised will be matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the fraternal benefit society’s matching fund program and will be used for clothing, food and personal care products.
The matching fund program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support of a community cause, organization or individual in need by partnering with community organizations and holding fundraisers. These fundraising projects contribute more than $6 million to community needs nationwide each year.
For information about the fundraiser, contact Lynn Henderson at (706) 226-0800 or Molly Jenkins at (706) 694-8812.
