Brian Ward, of the Gwinnett County Fire Department, practices different techniques for dragging a hurt firefighter with William Daniels, of the Marietta Fire Department, during the Smoke Diver training at the Dalton Fire Department on Monday. The Smoke Diver course is an elite six-day training that pushes firefighters to their limits. The course began Sunday with 28 firefighters, and by Monday afternoon four had quit. It continues through Friday at the Dalton training center.
