The American Cancer Society in Whitfield County will host its annual kickoff meeting for Relay for Life 2010 on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at Stage 123. This is part of the Rock Bridge Community Church and is at Pentz and Gordon streets in downtown Dalton.
All are invited and refreshments will be served. The kickoff event will include birthday cake and streamers as part of the organization’s new campaign focusing on “A World With Less Cancer is a World With More Birthdays.”
Teams for Relay can be made up from groups of friends, churches, schools, businesses, banks and others. The teams raise funds to help in cancer research and with cancer programs such as Look Good Feel Better and Road to Recovery.
