CVB wants your memories for 'Recollections Project'
Open house at renovated depot on Saturday
An open house will be held at the renovated Dalton Freight Depot on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The depot is on South Depot Street at the end of Cuyler Street, next to Wachovia Bank.
The Dalton Convention and Visitors Bureau is asking citizens to come by and share their memories about the depot or about Dalton’s past as part of its “Recollections Project.” The memories will be preserved on tape.
There will be special exhibits on display and discounts on Dalton-Whitfield related items in the Gift Shop. There will also be live music and free hot dogs and Cokes, as well as door prizes. Art from members of the North Georgia Arts Alliance will also be on display.
