Area Arrests

• Joseph Lee Ashburn, 24, 501 Bluffhill Drive, No. 1, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to stop for a stop sign.

• Richard Amaya, 24, 1804 Shadow Lane, Apt. 1, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with entering automobile with intent to commit theft or felony.

• Holly Jane Harrington, 24, 2351 Highway 52 Alternate, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with criminal trespass and first degree criminal damage to property.

• Tracy Lavaar Harris, 29, 304 Waters St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with trafficking in cocaine.

• James Michael Southern, 23, 11 Acorn Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with theft by receiving stolen property.

• Ronald Warren Weaver, 68, 4001 Woods Point Road, Rocky Face, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, failure to maintain lane and driving without a license.

• Rodney Brandon Winkler, 26, 1097 Bishop Pond Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Beverly Lane Wimpy, 54, 411 College Drive, Apt. D11, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of methamphetamine, DUI and failure to maintain lane.

    Murray County Environmental Health conducts inspections of restaurants every three months. The inspectors may require a re-inspection. Restaurants are required by law to post their most recent inspection permit. The Daily Citizen lists areas where the establishments are out of compliance.
