• Tanya Laynette Hall, 39, 201 Fourth Ave., S., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Chatsworth Police Department with illegal possession of a prescription drug, possession of a schedule II drug, pedestrian under the influence and bringing contraband across guardlines.
• No Van Huynh, 51, 1926 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts, false imprisonment, cruelty to children in the third degree, aggravated assault and simple assault.
• Adam Lee Young, 26, 100 Cline Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with failure to maintain lane, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, a seat belt violation and DUI.
• Marcelino Lopez Bautista, 26, 52 Crestway Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving without a license, failure to maintain lane and open container of alcohol.
• Michael Thomas Fowler, 18, 109 River Crest Circle, Newmarket, Ala., was charged Sunday by the Georgia State Patrol with underage consumption and DUI.
• Jeffrey Michael Norton, 20, 1606 Southmonth Drive, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and underage consumption.
• Quent Melton Mullis, 41, 372 Woodlake Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

Photo released of jewelry theft suspect
The Dalton Police Department released a picture of one of the men who allegedly ripped off an area jewelry store of about $7,500 in a “bait and switch” style theft on Saturday. The theft happened at Casa Blanca’s Jewelry. The suspect pictured, who identified himself as Luis Solis and presented an apparently fake Nevada driver’s license, also posed for a picture for the store clerk during the transaction. Dalton’s pawn broker ordinance requires all sellers to be photographed by the store. The two suspects were described as Hispanic males with slightly heavyset/stocky builds. Both wore jeans, with one man wearing a dark blue polo shirt with white stripes and the other wearing a lighter blue or white shirt. One suspect had a ponytail and facial hair.
