• Christopher Aaron Williams, 22, 159 Brown Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking (two counts) and theft by deception.
• Danny Lee Carver Jr., 30, 1674 Stinnett Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking (motor vehicle), aggravated assault and probation violation (entering an auto, four counts).
• Steven Daniel Elrod, 27, 421 Florence Ave., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary and criminal trespass.
• Alfonso Cortez Knowles, 39, 260 Selman Ave., Summerville, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, driving while license withdrawn and a turning violation.
• Terry Clark Romans, 37, 209 Center St., Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a drug-related object.
• Phillip Stacey Bishop, 41, 803 Red Clay Road, Apt. 8, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with criminal trespass, elder abuse and theft by taking.

DSC professor charged with more child sex abuse counts
A tenured Dalton State College professor who was charged with one count of child molestation last week had additional child sex charges related to other victims added on Wednesday, according to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.
