Area Arrests
• Eduardo Garcia, 25, 2027 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to maintain lane, driving while license withdrawn, DUI (third offense) and probation violation (two counts).
• Chad Daniel Smith, 28, 2617 Landfill Road, Rocky Face, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Susan Marie Baker, 37, 104 Kings Park, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with possession of lorcet and drugs not in original container.
• Buddy Marvin Head, 39, 542 Southern Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated battery.
• Samantha Ryan Miller, 24, 310 Keith St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of xanax and drugs not in original container.

Ecumenical Earth Day is April 25
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
