Area Arrests


• Larry Lamar Brackett, 25, 101 Candra Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of methamphetamine.

• Julian Jerome Edwards, 50, 210 Cheyenne Trail, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Varnell Police Department with drugs in wrong container and failure to appear.

• Kenneth Marvin McKeehan, 44, 3710 Old Federal Road S., Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of firearms by a convicted felon/first offender probation violation and trafficking in meth.

• Jeffery Ross Mitchell, 22, 994 Old CCC Camp Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of marijuana.

• Joseph Lee Parker, 28, 108 Eugenia Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of an officer, attempting to elude police officer, failure to stop for stop sign, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, DUI and driving without license.

• James Richard Thomas Jr., 47, 4030 Tibbs Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Anthony Dewayne Tyler, 32, 1025 Frye Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and probation violation (suspended license, fourth offense).

• Angela Dawn Wilborn, 30, 1011 N. Hamilton St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of meth.

• Frank Evan Findley, 70, 8165 Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Chatsworth Police Department with expired tag, driving while license suspended or revoked, no insurance, too fast for conditions, open container in vehicle, DUI, failure to maintain lane and tail lights required.

• Joey Benny Moorehead, 36, 1954 Cooper Road, Cohutta, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with harassing phone calls (two counts), second degree criminal damage to property and theft by taking.
