Area Arrests
• Randall Keith Cheek, 33, 2698 Taylor Town Road, Ranger, was charged Monday by the Varnell Police Department with possession of false identification documents.
• Cecil Leon Isenhower, 65, 9631 Highway 225 North, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with trafficking in cocaine.
• Justin Matthew Persinger, 19, 793 Bermuda St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with drugs in wrong container and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Jerry Dewayne Bryson, 51, 191 Tibbs Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of an officer (two counts), pointing or aiming a gun or pistol at another, aggravated assault (two counts), simple battery (family violence) and cruelty to children.
• Lorrie Ann Emberson, 41, 2590 Highway 52 Alternate, Unit H, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with sale of alprazolam, sell of soma, possession of methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Richard Lee Long, 47, 971 Leonard Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Chatsworth Police Department with loitering and sale of marijuana.
• Phillip Curtis Walker, 45, 2590-4 Highway 52 Alternate, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with sale of alprazolam, sell of soma, possession of methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Five people were taken to Hamilton Medical Center following a head-on crash between a Jeep Cherokee and a Volvo service truck from The Drain Doctor on V.D. Parrott Jr. Parkway around 1:10 p.m. Thursday.

Falcons roost at Southeast
At Southeast, football ruled the day during an afternoon pep rally as the school celebrated as victors in the Atlanta Falcons “Win-Win Challenge” presented by Under Armour and Hibbett Sports. Southeast received a prize package of $5,000 in Under Armour apparel and $5,000 in cash, which will be spent on new dumbbells for the weight room and upgrades to the physical education program.
