Area Arrests for Jan. 31
• Francisco Mata Amaral, 44, 1008 Hair St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.
• Siara Marie Crider, 19, 128 Keith Avenue, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Richard Allan Gulino, 43, 100 Crest Drive, Birmingham, Ala., was charged Thursday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with speeding, failure to drive within a single lane and DUI.
• Willard Dewayne Hawkins, 46, 161 Smyrna Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with interference with a 911 call and simple battery.
• Sonya Denise Pack, 43, 363 LaFayette Road, Rocky Face, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and disregarding an officer directing traffic.
• Bridget Ann Rich, 40, 877 Manis Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with illegal possession of a controlled substance.
• Alexis Nicole Weems, 27, 601 Baxter Road, Calhoun, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery.
• Christopher Lee Wooden, 25, 64 Laurel Drive, Trion, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with tampering with evidence, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, obstruction of an officer and theft by shoplifting.
• Justin David Arnold, 20, 453 Frontier Trail, Varnell, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
• Christopher Wayne Burchfield, 25, 124 Wheat St., Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Holden Anthony Cantrell, 20, 110 Jim Petty Road, Crandall, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, DUI and interference with official traffic.
• Donald Edward Dailey, 29, 1234 Beaverdale Cut Off Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana, possession of meperidine and possession of diazepam.
• Lark Lee Evors, 18, 2021 Waterloo Drive S.E., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, sale of alcohol to minor and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Billy Spurlin Hughes, 25, 150 Pullen Drive, Crandall, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with giving false information or false name and possession of marijuana.
• David Brandon Keith, 28, 2302 Second St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, reckless driving, criminal damage to property (second degree) and aggravated assault.
• Robin Ann Powell, 49, Panama City, Fla., was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.
• Christopher Leon Ware, 25, 140 Timberville Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Ecumenical Earth Day is April 25
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
