From Staff Reports
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division wants to know what you think about hunting regulations.
The division is holding a public meeting on Thursday at Dalton State College to receive comments on the development of hunting regulations for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 hunting seasons.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Goodroe Auditorium of Memorial Hall. You are required to register upon arrival and say whether you plan to give a statement. Officials say statements must be concise to allow everyone a chance to speak.
Written statements must be received by Jan. 16. They should be mailed to Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division, Game Management Section, Attn: John Bowers, 2070 U.S. Highway 278 S.E., Social Circle, GA 30025.
Proposed changes to hunting regulations will be considered by the Board of Natural Resources in May 2009.
For more information, visit the Wildlife Resources Division Web site at www.gohuntgeorgia.com or contact Hunter Services at (770) 761-3044.
