Area arrests for Dec. 20
• Brian Anthony McGill, 21, 1890 Richard Bennett Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.
• Jose Molina, 17, 1408 Murray Ave., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with burglary, possession of tools for the commission of crime, wearing a mask or device which conceals identity and obstruction of an officer.
• Christopher John Planzer, 35, 4616 S. Dixie Road, Resaca, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated stalking, battery (family violence) and cruelty to children — third degree (family violence).
• Angel Lucas Ramirez, 39, 622 Oak St., Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with failure to drive within a single lane, DUI and driving while license withdrawn.
• Kathy Ann Rogers, 45, 2496 Maddox Chapel Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by shoplifting, deposit account fraud and damaging property.
• Justin Douglas Bradshaw, 29, 1404 Beverly Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving while license withdrawn and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Justin Lamar Hasty, 21, 1064 Franklin Hill Road, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine and possession of tools for the commission of crime.
• Dennis James Herndon, 43, 3344 Hurricane Road, Rocky Face, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine, possession of tools for the commission of crime, possession of marijuana, possession of firearms by a convicted felon and first offender probation and probation violation.
• Robin Lynn Rhodes, 23, 2938 Arnold St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of oxycodone, possession of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of crime, possession of methamphetamine, fugitive from justice and failure to appear.
• Cody Allan Stern, 17, 6530 Old Highway 411 South, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with underage consumption and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Pedro Domingo Velasquez, 26, 315 N. 4th Ave. apartment 5, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Chatsworth Police Department with disorderly conduct (family violence), obstruction of an officer and possession of a false identification document.

Ecumenical Earth Day is April 25
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
