Whitfield County now has a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) projects update binder available for residents to view. The information was recently presented to the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners.
The binder outlines SPLOST activity, listing completed projects, projects in progress and future completion dates for others. It contains before and after photos of the completed East Morris sidewalk and curbside improvements and resurfacing projects on Concord Drive, Davis Road and South Dug Gap Road. The binder also includes photos of the projects ready for right of way acquisition and those nearing design or study completion. The last section includes detailed information regarding 10 projects that require Georgia Department of Transportation partnership.
