The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners will hold two work sessions and a regular meeting on Monday beginning at 6 p.m. in Administrative Building No. 2, 214 W. King St.
The financial work session will address revenue trends for 2008 and the revenue forecasts for 2009. The regular work session will cover the 2008 millage rate and gas for the sheriff’s department
The meeting will have a public hearing for ownership transfer of Harper’s General Store and Deli, a EMA/emergency operations plan resolution and a resolution to adopt the solid waste management plan. The board will also consider the 2008 millage rate and vote to replace six Kenwood base station radios within 911.

DSC professor charged with more child sex abuse counts
A tenured Dalton State College professor who was charged with one count of child molestation last week had additional child sex charges related to other victims added on Wednesday, according to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.
