Whitfield County Emergency Services will participate in the American Legion’s Safety Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the American Legion parking lot.
September is National Preparedness Month sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Ready Campaign. Whitfield County Emergency Services is encouraging individuals and families to prepare for emergencies, including preparing an emergency supply kit, developing a family emergency plan, learning about different types of emergencies and their appropriate responses, and getting involved in community efforts.
