‘Outdoors’ explores historic sites
Submitted by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources
Tour landmarks such as Indian burial mounds and Civil War fortifications that speak to Georgia’s diverse history on the upcoming “Georgia Outdoors.”
Because of scheduling conflicts, the landmarks show airs next on Georgia Public Broadcasting channels at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.

“Do You Remember?” cast announced
Members of Dalton Dance Company will perform in Dalton Arts Project’s “Do You Remember?” spring concert — a look back at the music they grew up with as well as the music enjoyed by previous generations of teenagers (now parents and grandparents).

Senior Student Art Expo winners named
The Creative Arts Guild’s 2010 Student Art Expo concludes with the annual senior show now on display in the Guild’s main gallery. The 47th annual student show includes work created by the top senior artists in Dalton Public Schools, Murray County and Whitfield County schools and allows student artists to compete for the Bernice Spigel Prize in the Visual Arts.

Ecumenical Earth Day is April 25
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
