Area Arrests for August 29
• Lonnie Wayne Caldwell, 57, 1400 Cobb Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with battery.
• Daniel Lee Green, 28, 3407 Brown Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary and criminal attempt.
• Glenn Leon Longwell, 43, 10811 Highway 225 North, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
• Robbie Dale Parry, 45, 276 Milam Bridge Road, Cartersville, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with first degree forgery.
• Raquel Rendon, 29, 108 Grayland Farm, Crandall, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by shoplifting.
• Miguel Tomas, 24, 91910 Bryson Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, driving without a license (unlicensed/wrong class) and probation violation (no license).
• Bridget Marie Wilson, 48, 206 Henderson Ave., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by shoplifting.
• Patricia Diane Wilson, 41, 1011A Mount Vernon Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by shoplifting.
• Scottie Richard Guffey, 33, 110 Sharondale Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with terroristic threats and acts and public drunkenness.

When Karen Smith was born her parents brought her home to 410 Chattanooga Ave., just down the street from Crown Garden and Archives, the primary repository of Dalton’s history where much-needed restorative efforts are under way. Her husband, Michael, grew up a little further south, near the intersection with Selvidge Street.
