Area Arrests for August 3
• Luis Enrique Cruz, 25, 129 Murray St., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine.
• Miguel Alberto Gallegos, 24, 3360 Highway 411, Eton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine.
• Ashley Dawn Grizzle, 24, 101 Candra Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession, manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine and methamphetamine with intent and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Jose Enrique Gutierrez-Vega, 39, 200 High Mountain Drive, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run), driving without a license (unlicensed/wrong class), DUI and possession, manufacture, distribution of cocaine.
• Diego Armando Hernandez, 18, 404 Martha Sue Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with illegal possession of a controlled substance.
• Amber Lynn Lambertus, 18, 206 Cheyenne Trail, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with obstruction of an officer, simple battery on a police officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, burglary, entering an auto or other motor vehicle with intent of felony, and three counts of theft by receiving stolen property.
•Ernest Edward Moore Jr., 19, 2208 Holcomb Road NE, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property, probation violation (no insurance), criminal damage to property in the second degree, theft by receiving stolen property, burglary, and entering an auto or other motor vehicle with intent of felony.
• Greta Arlene Odom, 48, 632 Avenue F, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of cocaine.
• Sandra Regla Sanchez, 37, 200 Richardson Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of identity theft, forgery in the first degree and theft by deception.
• Christopher Michael Scheeler, 25, no address given, was charged by the Dalton Police Department with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkeness.
•Joe Hill Sewell Jr., 35, 2635 Pine Lake Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with cruelty to children in the second degree.
• Rhoda Lynn Sewell, 33, 2635 Pine Lake Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with cruelty to children in the second degree.
• Pascual Pedro Simon, 31, 310 Spencer St., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Polie Department with pedestrian under the influence.
• Jeffrey Todd Wigley, 38, 6530 Mallory Cove Lane, Flowery Branch, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes, terroristic threats and acts and disorderly conduct.
• Brian Shannon Blackwell, 34, 858 Sam Love Road, Rocky Face, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to drive within a single lane.
• Ashley Angelica Joubert, 20, 105 Emerald Court, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by conversion.

Ecumenical Earth Day is April 25
The 14th Ecumenical Earth Day in Dalton will be on April 25 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 623 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton. The event will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and feature live music, recycled crafts, petting zoo, a free hot dog lunch and exhibits from local agencies and groups promoting recycling, conservation, and more.
