Historical society to meet

The Whitfield-Murray Historical Society will meet on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the old Varnell School in downtown Varnell. The guest speaker will be Linda Geiger. She will present a program about the Old Federal Road that goes through Murray and Whitfield counties.

The public and all members are invited.

Southeast received a prize package of $5,000 in Under Armour apparel and $5,000 in cash, which will be spent on new dumbbells for the weight room and upgrades to the physical education program.
