Dalton State College and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) will hold a free workshop on Aug. 16 designed to prepare students to take the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Basic Skills Assessment Test.
The state requires successful completion of the test for entry into a professional education program of study. This workshop is designed to help students achieve that goal.
Exemption from the GACE test is available only for those individuals who have taken one of the following college admissions exams within the last five years and achieved a score of at least: SAT (1000 overall); ACT (43, combination of math and English); or GRE (1030, combination of verbal and quantitative).
The workshop will be at Dalton State College from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Goodroe Auditorium of Gignilliat Memorial Hall.
The workshop is free, but advance registration is required. To register or for more information, contact Elizabeth Chadwick by phone at (706) 272-2362 or by e-mail at echadwick@daltonstate.edu.
