Dalton Police Department detectives are trying to identify a man wanted for credit card fraud. On Jan. 28, a man used a credit card number to purchase two $400 dollar gift cards from Sears in Walnut Square Mall. The credit card account belongs to a woman in Florida who still has the card in her possession. Because the suspect’s card could not be swiped and had to keyed in, detectives believe the suspect was using a fraudulently produced card. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 30 and 50 years old. His height is between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches. He weighs approximately 140 pounds. Call Det. John Helton at (706) 278-9085 ext. 143 if you have any information about this suspect.
