• James Leroy Epperson Jr., 41, 3942 Hayesport Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes and manufacturing marijuana.
• Shanna Christian Krahn, 33, 1216-A N. Hamilton St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with criminal attempt at theft by taking (motor vehicle), conspiracy to commit a crime and probation violation.
• Jose Carlos Mena, 35, 604 Selvidge St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with identity theft, first degree forgery and making false statements.
• Oscar Vasquez Morales, 25, 207 Long St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, open container in vehicle, hit and run, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.
• Tara Michele Phelps, 37, 1221 Percheron Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of a Schedule III drug, possession of a Schedule IV drug, drugs in wrong container, possession of dangerous drugs and open container in vehicle.

• Bryan Claude West, 35, 5096 Highway 225 S., Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with expired tag, no insurance, possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of meth.
