• Kayla Lynn Dodson, 18, 407 Whitener Drive, No. 10, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Steven Scott Hill, 45, 3435 First St., Vero Beach, Fla., was charged Thursday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, improper lane change, driving while license suspended or revoked and open container violation.
• Summer Nicole Long, 24, 630 Old CCC Camp Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Eton Police Department with possession of altered ephedrine, manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and failure to appear.
• Gary Lane Mitchell, 51, 2590-D Highway 52 Alternate, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Eton Police Department with possession of altered ephedrine, manufacture of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and failure to maintain lane.
• Murray Dale Schisler, 55, 186 N. Lee Drive, No. 4, Tunnel Hill, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to register as a sex offender (lewd or lascivious acts with a child).
• Todd Eugene Stone, 29, 824 Callie Jones Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and burglary.
• Jeremiah Lynn Vess, 33, 630 Old CCC Camp Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Eton Police Department with obstruction of an officer (two counts), possession of altered ephedrine, manufacture of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
• Leslye Alba, 22, 197 Gregory Drive, Ringgold, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
• Mark Cochran Edwards, 27, 216 Middleton Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with being a fugitive from justice (theft by taking).
• David Grant Grusnick, 21, 4102 Dog Legg Drive, Cohutta, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.
• Jeremy Ray Hawkins, 32, 718 Samples Chapel Road, Cleveland, Tenn. was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with being a fugitive from justice (aggravated assault and vandalism, Bradley County, Tenn.).

Photo released of jewelry theft suspect
The Dalton Police Department released a picture of one of the men who allegedly ripped off an area jewelry store of about $7,500 in a “bait and switch” style theft on Saturday. The theft happened at Casa Blanca’s Jewelry. The suspect pictured, who identified himself as Luis Solis and presented an apparently fake Nevada driver’s license, also posed for a picture for the store clerk during the transaction. Dalton’s pawn broker ordinance requires all sellers to be photographed by the store. The two suspects were described as Hispanic males with slightly heavyset/stocky builds. Both wore jeans, with one man wearing a dark blue polo shirt with white stripes and the other wearing a lighter blue or white shirt. One suspect had a ponytail and facial hair.
