Chatsworth voters going to the polls on July 20 will have to cast two separate ballots for the general primary election and the special election on liquor-by-the-drink within the city — and they will have to go to two locations.
That’s because the liquor referendum is a city election, said Connie Winkler with the elections and registrars office in Murray County.
“City voters will vote at City Hall for the liquor vote and vote in the primary at Fire Station No. 1 on Maddox Parkway near the jail, which is the Town polling place for the county,” she said.
Early voting has already begun for the primary, she noted, and on Monday those wanting to cast early ballots on the liquor referendum may do so. Both early votes can be cast at the elections and registrars office in the Courthouse Annex at 121 N. Fourth Ave. The phone number for the office is (706) 695-1983.
