• Old Tilton Road in the area of street number 2789 will be closed Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. for approximately five hours so that a cross drain can be changed out by a Whitfield County Public Works crew. Officials said school buses will be able to get through and county vehicles will be on site to guide emergency vehicles if necessary.
• Millcreek Road one-fourth of a mile past Lindsey Memorial will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 7, starting at 8:30 a.m. so that a cross drain can be replaced. Officials say weather permitting the work will take about five hours and the road will be reopened in time for the afternoon school bus.
• On Wednesday, Sept. 8, around 8:30 a.m. a cross drain will be replaced at Buckner at the intersection with Old Ringgold Road. Weather permitting, the work should be done in time for the road to be reopened for the afternoon school bus.
• Motorists coming off Utility Road onto Miracle Drive just past the third driveway will find the road closed for part of the day on Tuesday, Sept. 14, beginning at 8:30 a.m. so that a cross drain can be replaced. The road is expected to be reopened in time for the afternoon school bus to get through.
