Former Brave to be at chili cookoff downtown today

Former Atlanta Brave Otis Nixon will be the special guest at today’s fifth annual Chili Cook-off from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Dalton Green by the courthouse. The event is part of Recovery Month 2012.

There will be a free chili lunch for everyone, door prizes and music.

Partners are Al-Anon, Carter Hope Center, Celebrate Recovery OBC, Conasauga Drug Court, CDC Alumni, Georgia Hope, Helping the Hurting, Innervention, Narcotics Anonymous, Northwest Day Report Center, Penfield Christian Homes North, Providence Rescue Ministries, Whitfield Intensive Outpatient and Women’s Outreach Rome.
