The State Board of Pardons and Paroles is joining other state law enforcement agencies by participating in a military personnel job fair on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at State Offices South at Tift College, in Forsyth.
The participating agencies (the State Board of Pardons and Paroles, Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety, Department of Natural Resources and Georgia Bureau of Investigation) have approximately 800 jobs available for military personnel returning from duty. The Department of Corrections is hosting the job fair. The event is free and open to U.S. veterans who register online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/R92TTMJ.
“These men and women have served their country well, and I am proud to see our state agencies join forces and offer this opportunity to U.S. veterans,” said Gov. Nathan Deal. “These agencies, as well as others within the state of Georgia, offer excellent career opportunities.”
The job fair will include an orientation with guest speakers and overviews of the participating agencies.
“The Parole Board welcomes U.S. veterans to seek employment opportunities with the agency,” stated Michael Nail, executive director of Parole. The Parole Board currently has vacancies for parole officer as well as many other opportunities.
The military job fair will include demonstrations by participating agencies.
