Area Arrests

Staff reports Dalton Daily Citizen

• Tony Joe Dalton, 33, 316 Bowen Road N. Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with theft by taking.

• Ronnie Justin Favors, 20, 281 Scott Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with burglary.

• Michael Deron Goines, 37, 3109 46th St., Chattanooga, Tenn., was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by bringing stolen property into state, DUI, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, reckless driving, speeding, improper lane change or usage, open container violation, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, failure to maintain lane and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Jason Andre Hackney, 38, 3169 Sonya Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Benny Ray Hastings, 39, 695 Boogerbranch Road, Crandall, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with probation violation (original charge possession of methamphetamine).

• Brian Scott Hawkins, 26, 1164 Amos St., Pontiac, Mich., was charged Tuesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

• Deborah Denise Holcomb, 39, 2653 Dunn Road, NE, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery (family violence) and cruelty to children (allowing to witness felony or battery).

• Arthur Ben Wilson Jr., 24, 250 Oriley Court, Pontiac, Mich., was charged Tuesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with trafficking in heroin, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and failure to maintain lane.

• Jessie Adam Barnett, 23, 815 Willeve St., Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts and felony probation violation.

• Christopher Bryan Cole, 18, 301 Foster Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault and robbery (forcible purse snatching).

• Tommy William Dodson, 47, 404 W. Field Road, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Michael Anthony Gartrell, 47, 809 Crawford Terrace, Tunnel Hill, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Eric Tovin Macon, 42, 1465 Piedmont Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Cody Duane Martin, 18, 1956 Center Hill Church, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with underage consumption, DUI/under 21 and failure to drive within a single lane.
