Three juveniles charged in Morris break-in

From Staff Reports

— Several tablet computers stolen from Morris Innovative High School have been recovered and three juveniles charged, officials said.

Dalton Police Department spokesman Chris Cooke said the three were charged with burglary and one was charged with criminal trespass for inflicting some minor damage in the Sunday break-in.

Cooke said the juveniles were caught after officials reviewed surveillance video and tracked them down. He said they entered through an open door and stole eight tablet computers as well as some smaller items, like ear buds and other equipment.

Dalton Public Schools spokeswoman Pat Holloway said none of the students attend Morris Innovative High School. Information on where the alleged thieves attend school wasn’t immediately available, but Cooke said the break-in was not related to school rivalry.
