Lecture on political discourse offered for Constitution Day

Submitted by Dalton State College

— Matthew L. Hipps, assistant professor of political science at Dalton State College, will speak on political discourse as part of the college’s annual Constitution Day program, which will be held on Monday. The free program will begin at 6 p.m. in the Goodroe Auditorium of Gignilliat Memorial Hall.

Constitution Day recognizes the signing of the Constitution by the framers on Sept. 17, 1787. Each year, the college presents a Constitution Day program which highlights one or more basic liberties afforded to us as Americans in the document that provides the framework for our government. The Constitution Day program is sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
