Bluegrass Bands and Helping Hands organizers have announced the lineup for its Sept. 25 benefit concert at “The Recreation Place” inside First Presbyterian Church at 510 S. Tibbs Road. The music starts at 5 p.m. All proceeds go to the Dalton Organization of Churches Uplifting People (DOC-UP), a non-profit organization that helps families with rent and utility assistance in Whitfield County.
The concert will feature G2 from Sweden, The Dismembered Tennesseans from Chattanooga, Gold Heart from Hamilton, Va. and The Hillbenders, who hail from Springfield, Mo.
G2 (www.g2bluegrassband.com) is currently on tour in the United States and performing at major bluegrass festivals across the country. They will be one of the featured performers during the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) Fan Fest in September in Nashville, Tenn.
