Deputy Mike Smitherman of the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office has been named December Employee of the Month for Whitfield County government.
“Since Deputy Mike Smitherman began working at the Sheriff’s Office, he has maintained a very high level of performance and motivation,” Lt. Patrick Rollins said. “He is always willing to go the extra mile for the community and his fellow employees. Deputy Smitherman always conducts himself in a professional and courteous manner. He has received several letters of commendation since coming to the Uniform Patrol Division in 2008. Deputy Smitherman is devoted to his family and is a proud husband, father and grandfather.”
The deputy filled out a questionnaire that will let his fellow Whitfield County residents know more about him.
