A man who robbed an FSG Bank in Cleveland, Tenn., on Wednesday is believed to be the same person who robbed the Regions Bank on Thornton Avenue on Dec. 3, officials said.
Dalton Police Department spokesman Bruce Frazier said the Cleveland Police Department and other law enforcement agencies are working the case as authorities continue to search for the man.
According to the Cleveland Daily Banner, the suspect was wearing a black wig with gold highlights and a pair of women’s sunglasses as well as pink pajama pants. The suspect in the Dalton robbery wore a long, dark wig and Georgia Bulldogs sweat pants or pajama pants and large sunglasses.
In both cases, officials said, he gave a note to a teller demanding money. In Dalton, he indicated he was armed.
Most of the money the robber stole in Dalton was recovered after the thief dropped it when a dye-pack exploded, Frazier said. The amount of money was not released.
In the Cleveland case, according to the Daily Banner, the suspect left the building with “an undetermined amount of money.”
Anyone with information about the Dalton case is asked to contact Detective Jason Bishop at (706) 278-9085, ext. 214.
