DALTON — The Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold its Pinewood Derby Championship Race on Saturday in the Dalton First Presbyterian Church gymnasium. The championship is open to all scouts who are registered with the council.
First races start at 10 a.m. Registration is at 9:15 a.m.
This event will take the place of the district derby races, and does not require qualification at the pack or district level. The entry fee is $5 per car with trophies given to first, second and third places for all divisions for both race and show. Each participant is allowed only one entry.
Registration must be submitted and paid by Tuesday. Entry forms will be accepted at both the Dalton or Rome Scout Stores, or online at nwgabsa.org through the link on the main page or on the Scouting Calendar. Late entries will be accepted the day of the race at a double registration fee of $10 per car.
Concessions will be available in the gym lobby. No food or drink will be allowed in the gym or race areas.
