Dalton firefighters responded to a fire at 201 N. Tibbs Road Wednesday night after a Christmas tree caught on fire, 911 officials said. The call came in at 8:54 and the fire was under control by about 9:45.
No other information was immediately available.

Dr. William Blackman opened a box of tools consisting of medical instruments, including a saw, and proceeded to tell visitors how they were used more than a century ago to amputate limbs for soldiers wounded on the battlefield.
