Shooting suspect sought

DALTON — Gordon County authorities are looking a white male suspect in regards to a shooting and possible kidnapping in Resaca.

Gordon County 911 Center said a call about the shooting came in around 4:50 p.m.

Whitfield County law enforcement have been asked to be on the lookout for the suspect.

Cleanup at MFG completed, investigation continues

An investigation into a chemical rupture that blew a pressure release disk through the roof at MFG Chemical and through a wall at a neighboring carpet mill on Monday morning is ongoing by the Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
