Foreclosure rates in Dalton have decreased for the month of June over the same period last year, according to CoreLogic, a real estate data provider.
The rate of foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 2.84 percent for the month, a decrease of 0.69 percentage points compared to June of 2009 when the rate was 3.53 percent.
Foreclosure activity in Dalton is lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 3.06 percent for June 2010.
Also in Dalton, the mortgage delinquency rate has increased. According to CoreLogic data for June, 10.1 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 8.83 percent for the same period last year.
