DALTON —
Area Girl Scouts hosted a Community Carnival and Parent Information Expo Saturday at the North Georgia Fairgrounds off Legion Drive.
Activities included carnival games, face painting, hayrides, pony rides, laser tage, tattoos, karaoke, nail painting and crafting.
All proceeds go toward the Girl Scout Annual Fund Campaign and troop support and enrichment.
The Parent Information Expo showcased the many opportunities for help that are available. Several community agencies will be on hand to answer questions and provide information and resources for help.
Agencies scheduled to participate included: 4-H, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Club, Dalton Parks and Recreation, Dalton Public Schools-Migrant Education Program, Family Support Council, Friendship House, Girl Scouts, Kool Smiles, North Georgia Electric Membership Corp., Project Destiny, State Board of Pardons and Parole, Salvation Army, Family Crisis Center United Way/VISTA, Heartlite Hospice, DFACS, Family Frameworks, DARE Program, Heartland Ranch Program, Providence Ministries, Visions of Hope, Youth Advocacy, Whitfield-Dalton Daycare Center, Women’s Enrichment Center, Regional Youth Development Center, Sexual Assault Center of the Women’s Crisis Center, Amerigroup Community Care and CLILA.
