Former pro football player and NWA, WCW and WWF professional wrestler Lex Luger gives testimony at Providence Ministries on South Hamilton Street Wednesday night. Luger struggled with alcohol and substance abuse and was paralyzed at one time from his wrestling injuries.

‘It was a brutal time’

Dr. William Blackman opened a box of tools consisting of medical instruments, including a saw, and proceeded to tell visitors how they were used more than a century ago to amputate limbs for soldiers wounded on the battlefield.
