• Bethel AME Church Sons of Allen (men in Ministry) will celebrate Annual Day on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Brother Wilson Johnson, a member of St. Paul AME Church in Vidalia. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. The church is on Spring Street.

• A scrapbooking “Crop from the Heart” event will be at Cedar Valley Church of God on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. All proceeds will go toward new flooring for the church’s fellowship hall. Experienced “scrappers” will help newbies. There will be snacks, goody bags and games. Cost is $20. The church is at 4744 Cleveland Highway in Dalton. Please RSVP by Jan. 28 by calling Cricket at (706) 313-4410. Donations will be accepted. Participants should bring paper, adhesives, scissors and paper trimmers. Most supplies will be available for purchase at the event.

• City View Church of God will have a gospel singing on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. featuring Across Time, Heart Felt, David Neighbors and Spirit Led. The church is at 3688 Chatsworth Highway in Dalton. Pastor Gerald Foster welcomes everyone.

• Judy Jacobs, co-pastor of Dwelling Place Church International in Cleveland, Tenn., will minister at Community Fellowship Church on Sunday at the 10 a.m. worship services. She can be seen frequently on TBN and many other ministries. The church is at 409 N. Fredrick St. where Stephen Thomas is overseer.

• There will be a men’s breakfast at CrossPointe Christian Centre today from 8 to 9:30. The speaker is Brother Rick McCormick. CrossPointe Christian Centre is at 2681 Underwood St. in Dalton.

• East Side Baptist Church at 913 E. Morris St. in Dalton will hold an indoor yard sale in the Family Life Center on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 27 and 28. Items that will be available include furniture, clothing and toys.

• The Crist Family will sing at 11th Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. In 2009, the group won a Singing News Fan Award for Horizon Group of the Year. • There will be a Sunday night singing this Sunday at 6 p.m. at Faith and Deliverance Church in Resaca. Featured singers will be The Renewed Singers. Everyone is welcome.

• Under Grace will sing during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday at Gospel Tabernacle. Pastor George Witt invites everyone. The church is off Highway 41 South on Lucille Drive.

• There will be a benefit singing for Debbie Lawson Hales, whose home burned, at Gospel Way Baptist Church in Dawnville on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 10:30 a.m. Featured singers are Emmaus Road and the Ward Family. Hot dogs, spaghetti and soft drinks will be sold in the fellowship hall. All donations are accepted. The church pastor is the Rev. Roger Baker.

• Bishop H.P. Starling and Greater St. James Overcoming Church of God invite the public to the church’s anniversary on Sunday. The speaker will be Pastor Terrance Hambrick of Friendship Baptist at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served immediately after the morning service.

• Hopewell Baptist Church at 3527 Airport Road in Dalton has opened its food bank for the poor, needy and homeless families. Hours are Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. and Sundays after service until 2 p.m. Call (706) 226-5987 or (706) 280-1375 for assistance.

• An old-fashioned singing is set for Jesus Is the Way Ministry on today at 6 p.m. with Doug and Joan Bartlett performing. Special preaching will be by Shane Duggan. The church is on U.S. Highway 41 South, south of Pilot at Carbondale. Buster Fox, pastor, invites the public.

• The Greesons from Rossville will sing at the 11 a.m. service on Sunday at Little Prospect Baptist Church. The church is on Highway 2 east of Prater’s Mill. Johnny Payne, pastor, invites everyone.

• New Life Christian Fellowship will celebrate its four-year anniversary on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. with special musical guests Tim Chastain & Eight Days After. A covered-dish lunch will follow the service. Pastor Jeff Vess invites everyone. The church is at 3602 Chattanooga Road (Highway 41) in Tunnel Hill.

• Pastors Mark and Rita Cardin of Restoration Ministry in Tunnel Hill invite the public to attend the church. Sunday school is at 11 a.m. with worship at noon, Sunday night service at 6:30 and Tuesday at 7 p.m.

• Riverbend Church of Christ opens a benevolent house each Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for area residents in need. Individuals can choose from a variety of clothing, shoes, household items and more at no charge.

The ministry is in the white house beside the church on Riverbend Road in Dalton. To donate items, either leave them on the front porch of the house or drop them off during operating hours. All donations are greatly appreciated. Tax receipts are available.

• The Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church and Tunnel Hill Baptist Church choirs will join together to have a gospel music sing-along featuring the songs of Bill and Gloria Gaither at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the singing. The church is at 121 N. Varnell Road.
